• Mark Gatiss, Jeremy Dyson and Reece Shearsmith of "The League of Gentlemen" fame are fans of Blood of Satan's Claw. They provide an audio commentary track and a 10 minute short - Blood on Satan's Claw: In a League of Its Own (2005) on the Anchor Bay DVD.
• Blood on Satan's Claw was originally to be three interlinked stories written by Robert Wynne-Simmons. It was decided that it should be one story, this in some way accounts for script inconsistencies.
• Patrick Wymark died shortly after making Blood on Satan's Claw, on 20th October 1970 (aged 44) from a heart attack.
• Wendy Padbury played Zoe Heriot (1968 to 1969) in the long running series Doctor Who, along with Patrick Troughton (as the Doctor) and Frazer Hines.
