A Knight's Tale (2001)

Director: Brian Helgeland

A young squire by the name of William Thatcher (Heath Ledger) and his pals, bump into Chaucer who helps the young fellow become a knight by falsifying documents as to his lineage.

I cannot say I enjoyed this movie at all. There were many reasons why this movie got under my skin, irritating characters, product placement (yes even in a knight's tale), the needless contrasting between modern day and the past, annoying dialogue and 'humour' that was for the most part is hackneyed. Compared to Monty Python's comical handling of history this is pathetic as well as being too long and rather dull. Thankfully I didn't watch the extended version.
